As expected, this power supply is a phenomenal performer, managing extremely high efficiency and power while remaining almost completely silent under the majority of real world loads, and even when pushed to its limits it will be barely audible over the noise floor of an average room. [...]
Internally the build quality is superb, featuring plenty of component headroom and high quality soldering. This results in rock-solid voltage regulation and very low ripple, even when stressed at 110% load. The inclusion of individually sleeved cables along with heavy-duty 16AWG wiring dramatically minimizes voltage drop and will offer satisfying cable management. The ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 compliance, complete with dual 12V-2x6 connectors, ensures it is fully prepared for the most powerful current and next-generation GPUs.
While we can't really find much negative to talk about with this supply, a minor nitpick is the price, which makes it a highly premium option aimed at only the most uncompromising system builders. Additionally, the 210 mm length requires a spacious chassis, and the classic Noctua brown color scheme means it won't seamlessly blend into every tempered glass build. But if you have the budget and space to consider this for a near-silent monster system, the PRIME TX-1600 Noctua Edition stands alone as arguably the finest ATX power supply currently available.
