NL-LC1 all-in-one liquid coolers

Taking centre stage at the booth, the NL-LC1 series marks Noctua’s first line-up of all-in-one liquid coolers. Based on Asetek’s state-of-the-art Emma V2 platform, the coolers aim to combine industry-leading thermal performance and reliability with Noctua’s hallmark focus on quiet operation. The integrated pump noise absorber uses a three-layer soundproofing structure in conjunction with a tuned-mass damper effect in order to attenuate vibration and reduce the transmission of pump noise.

The pump can be operated in three different speed profiles: a pre-selected quiet mode for minimal noise emission, a balanced mode that provides additional headroom when liquid temperatures rise, and a manual mode that gives enthusiast users full control over the pump’s entire RPM range. The coolers will be available in 420, 360 and 240mm form factors with standard 30mm thick radiators, and they will ship with premium-grade NF-A14x25 G2 and NF-A12x25 G2 fans, respectively. As with several recent Noctua products, the fans are speed-offset in order to avoid periodic humming or vibrations due to beat frequencies.

Another defining feature of the NL-LC1 series is the SecuFirm2+™ mounting ecosystem, which enables improved contact quality, straightforward installation and future upgradability. The coolers will also carry a 6-year manufacturer’s warranty and are currently scheduled for release in June 2026.

Alongside the liquid coolers, Noctua displayed the optional NL-ACF1 auxiliary cooling fan. Designed to magnetically snap onto the pump cover of all NL-LC1 series coolers, the NL-ACF1 uses a large NF-A8 80mm PWM fan to provide additional airflow around the CPU socket area. Its custom-engineered frame leverages the Coandă effect in order to draw air outwards, helping to cool near-socket components such as VRMs, RAM modules or M.2 SSDs.

Thermosiphon development project

Noctua also provided an extensive update on the development of the two-phase thermosiphon CPU cooler, engineered in cooperation with the Belgian two-phase cooling specialist Calyos. As in previous years, the project aims to deliver the form factor, convenience and performance levels of all-in-one liquid coolers without moving parts in the fluid cycle. Since the working fluid circulates through vaporisation, condensation and gravity rather than a mechanical pump, the design promises to eliminate pump-induced noise, vibration and wear.

Thermosiphon demo

Significant progress has been made since last year. Noctua has increased its rapid prototyping and validation capabilities from roughly one evaporator design per month to up to four per day, and more than 400 evaporator prototypes, as well as 25 condenser prototypes, have been built and tested during the past 12 months. Glass-top evaporators and high-speed cameras now enable in-depth analysis of vaporisation and flow behaviour, while an optimised evaporator geometry improves vapour release, fluid circulation and hotspot resistance. A porous sintered copper microlayer further enhances surface wetting and vaporisation performance, helping to avoid vapour blanket formation and local dryout over high heat-flux areas.

The condenser has also been optimised for maximum condensation performance with NF-A12x25 G2 fans, and a new U-flow design with single-side inlet and outlet improves compatibility. In addition, a new tube material combines extremely low permeation, reduced levels of non-condensable gases, better connector sealing and full regulatory compliance. While the development has advanced substantially towards Noctua’s performance and mass-production goals, the thermosiphon cooler remains a long-term project and release is currently targeted for Q3 2027.

Next-gen NH-L12 series low-profile CPU cooler

For small form factor enthusiasts, Noctua showed a next-generation low-profile CPU cooler for AMD AM5. The prototype is a completely reconceived NH-L12 series heatsink with six heatpipes, a total height of only 70mm including the fan and a layout tailored to fit current AM5-based Mini-ITX motherboards. Instead of the slim fans typically used in this class, the cooler employs an NF-A12x25 G2 in order to achieve superior performance-to-noise efficiency. With 35mm RAM clearance and an LBC base convexity for optimal contact on AM5 and AM4 without offset mounting, the new cooler is being developed as a high-end solution for compact systems and is currently scheduled for Q2 2027.

Next-gen server and workstation CPU coolers

Workstation users were addressed with next-generation CPU coolers designed for upcoming AMD Threadripper processors as well as Intel LGA4710/4677, AMD sTR5, TR4 and SP3 platforms, with future platforms in preparation. The new design features a completely revised heatsink architecture, front-to-back airflow orientation for current workstation motherboards with horizontal socket layouts, seven heatpipes and a dual-tower configuration. NF-A14x25r G2 and NF-A12x25 G2 fans are used to provide enhanced dissipation capacity while maintaining Noctua’s class-leading performance-to-noise efficiency. These new workstation coolers are also currently planned for Q2 2027.

NT-CP1 AM5/4 Carbice® carbon nanotube thermal pad

Another new product on display was the NT-CP1 AM5/4 Carbice® carbon nanotube thermal pad. Tailored for AMD AM5 and AM4 processors, the NT-CP1 is designed to offer superior long-term performance compared to conventional thermal pastes and phase-change pads. Unlike pastes, it is not subject to pump-out, dry-out, cracking or delamination and does not require maintenance or replacement. Its vertically aligned carbon nanotube forests are reinforced with an aluminium backbone, making the pad more robust than other carbon- or graphite-based solutions, while a nanoscale polymer coating makes the contact surfaces electrically non-conductive before use and prevents slipping during installation. Noctua’s internal testing over thousands of thermal cycles showed the NT-CP1 gradually improving as the nanotubes conform to surface microstructures, making it ideal for users who want to ensure stable performance years down the line. The current ETA is September 2026.
