Can I attach additional fans onto Noctua CPU coolers?

Additional fans can be installed on all Noctua U-type and D-type coolers. Although it is technically compatible and easy to install an extra fan, it will yield minimal improvements in cooling performance (0.5°C max.), but noise levels will increase significantly.

Nevertheless, we provide fan mounting clips for Noctua CPU coolers free of charge if required, e.g. if customers would like to add a third Noctua fan to their dual tower cooler or if they would like to install a different type of Noctua fan that is not supported by the stock fan clips that came with the cooler.
