NL-ACF1

Auxiliary cooling fan

Airflow for near-socket components

Provides extra cooling for VRMs, RAM, M.2 SSDs and other parts

Ultra-quiet 80mm fan

High performance at minimal noise levels, easy to control via PWM

For Noctua NL series coolers

Compatible with NL-LC1 liquid coolers

The NL-ACF1 is an auxiliary cooling fan for Noctua’s NL-LC1 series all-in-one liquid coolers. Installed on top of the CPU block, it provides extra cooling for VRMs, RAM, M.2 SSDs and other near-socket components.

Its large, highly optimised NF-A8 impeller delivers significantly more airflow at lower noise levels compared to smaller VRM fans. Leveraging the Coandă effect, the NL-ACF1’s outer frame has been custom-designed in order to draw as much air out towards the components as possible.

The fan can be easily adjusted from near-silent operation to maximum cooling via PWM, either at a fixed speed setting or through automatic control by the motherboard. Attaching magnetically to the top of the CPU block, it is extremely straightforward to install.

In sum, the NL-ACF1 is a perfect add-on for Noctua NL-LC1 series coolers that are running in systems that could benefit from extra airflow over near-socket components.

Key features

Extra cooling for near-socket components

With liquid coolers, there is typically less air movement around the CPU socket than with air coolers, which can cause higher temperatures on near-socket components such as voltage regulator modules (VRMs), RAM modules or M.2 SSDs. The NL-ACF1 solves this problem by providing extra airflow to the entire area around the CPU socket.

Large diameter NF-A8 fan

Many liquid coolers use 40 or 50mm VRM fans that produce high-pitched noises and are hidden underneath a cover, hampering airflow. By contrast, the NL-ACF1 leverages an 80mm size impeller that’s completely uncovered, which ensures both superior airflow and quieter operation with a more pleasant, lower-pitched sound signature.

Coandă effect for maximum efficiency

The NL-ACF1 combines the proven NF-A8 impeller with a custom-designed fan frame that leverages the Coandă effect, the phenomenon that fluid streams have a tendency to stay attached to surfaces, to draw airflow out towards the sides as much as possible.

Magnetic attachment

Installing the NL-ACF1 couldn’t be easier: Thanks to the integrated magnets at the base of the fan, it simply snaps onto the NL-PNA1 pump noise absorber of Noctua’s Asetek Emma V2 based NL-LC1 liquid coolers.
