Can I install a Noctua cooler in my OEM prebuilt system (e.g. from Acer, Dell, HP or Lenovo)?
OEM prebuilt system series like Predator, Nitro, Alienware, Omen, Victus or Legion often use motherboards which differ slightly from the specifications issued by Intel and AMD. While those changes are usually subtle, we do not officially support these systems, as the mechanical deviations can lead to compatibility issues.
In some cases, our coolers can be installed with specialised mounting solutions. Fan issues can still occur, however, when the cooler is installed. Many of these can be resolved with some technical knowledge or with adaptors available on online marketplaces.
