My AIO pump is loud at startup, is it defective?
No, it is not defective. The increased noise during the startup phase is entirely normal and part of the pump's functionality. It ensures that your system remains fully operational and efficient over time.
The pump of our NL-LC1 liquid coolers is designed to operate at higher speeds for the first 50 seconds after startup. Closed-loop liquid coolers require a certain amount of air inside the loop to allow for thermal expansion and safe transport in different environmental conditions. This initial boost helps to effectively bleed any air bubbles trapped inside the pump.
