What is the difference between LGA2011 Narrow ILM and LGA2011 Square ILM?
There are two different types of ILM (Independent Loading Mechanism) for Intel’s LGA2011 based Xeon CPUs: Square ILM with 80x80mm hole spacing and Narrow ILM with 56x94mm hole spacing.
The mounting system of the NH-U12DX i4/NH-D9DX i4 3U/NH-U9DX i4 is fully compatible with both types.
These coolers can be made compatible with LGA2011 Narrow ILM with additional mounting parts:
- NH-C14
- NH-C14S
- NH-D9DX i4 3U
- NH-D9L (chromax.black)
- NH-U12DX i4
- NH-U12S (chromax.black/ SE-AM4)
- NH-U9DX i4
The additional mounting parts needed can be requested free-of-charge via this order form on our website.
